Preschool Letter H!

Hey peeps! I decided I would do a blog post on Hattie Joy's  preschool day! I hear her teacher is an awesome girl! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Hehe.. The letter of this week is the letter H. Hattie was quite excited to hear that we were learning the first letter of her name!๐Ÿ˜„ I posted kind of lot of stuff, remember this is what we do the whole week! I love http://www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com/my-printables and http://www.inmyworld.com.au/category/preschool/! Erica has the best printables and everything is completely Christ centered. Lavina has the best ideas and a lot of pick and choose type stuff.

Hattie and I started of with the classic letter tracing pages from Confessions of a Homeschooler. She was tickled pink with the little hippo in the corner! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Her finished work!!
After this we sprayed shaving cream in a Ziploc bag. (she did not want it in a bag however that was the only way I was turning it blue! I am not that adventurous to have colored shaving cream out that could stain anything and everything! *shudder* that would be a colossal mess) I used a bit of blue food coloring and sealed the bag and then she squished it around to mix it up. She thought this was great fun! Just incase the bag was to get a hole I made her stay at the table. She did not like that at all so it became she had to stay on the hard floors (ie no to the carpet). I put my foot down because I don't feel like having to clean a bunch of shaving cream out of the carpet. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
 Squishy, Squishy, Squishy!!
Next we finished made started a book. Hattie Joy LOVES making books. So we made a book. I found these adorable " what I wear in winter q-tip printables " which we made into a book! (She has black and white pages or colored pages. We did the black and white because our color printer wasn't hooked up. If I was to do this again I would defiantly use the colored version.) There was no cover page because this was not originally a book so I quick made one up. Instead of Q-tips we used puffy paint cause that was what we had on hand! We shoved the book making into one day but I wouldn't recommend that she got a little bored after a while. I would split it up between 2-3 days.

These printables are so cute!
She decided she wanted a lot of pink!

The snack was a bit harder cause Hattie girl is gluten-free right now. In the end we went with good 'ol hot cocoa and Honey Nut Cheerios. She was a fan and so was I cause it was simple, she liked it, and it was yummy! (well yummy if you like cereal๐Ÿ˜‰)  Zucchini Summer has lots of snack ideas for every letter.

We read from the Christian Liberty Reader. It has a animal for every letter to read a little report about the animal and what it does. She likes the pictures in it of the animals! She understands most of the harder words. They helpfully bold the harder to understand words.

That was the extent of our Letter H week! It was a lighter week but that's okay! She had fun! (sorry about the lack of pics at the end!) (the phone was dead!๐Ÿ˜ž)

See you next time!!
